Born in 1989 in Berlin, Germany, Ivo Berg's roots lie in the eastern part of the city where he spent his formative years. It was at the age of 19 that he first got in contact with photography, embarking on a creative journey that would yield a diverse array of works.
In the ensuing years, Ivo Berg devoted himself to extensive practical study, delving into various genres, including creative self-portraiture and collages.
Over the course of his creative career Ivo Berg developed a profound fascination for architecture and symmetry, themes that now constitute the central and defining facet of his artistic portfolio. His subject choice often stems from the inner drive to document the remains of a country that he was born in but which does not exist anymore, the GDR. Concrete very often serves as the centerpiece of his art, architecture that very often is overlooked is being transported into the spotlight.
To date, his photographical journey has led him to a variety of places all over the world including Chile, USA, South-East Asia, India and most of Europe. Whenever he is not traveling, Ivo finds his muse in the streets of his hometown Berlin, which serves as a captivating backdrop for his artistic endeavors.
His work appeared in a variety of international media and publications such as “The Daily Telegraph” (UK), “Welt der Wunder Magazin” (GER) and the coffee-table book “Exposure” by Jonathan Steffen.
