HC Berg’s sculptures and optical installations are works that seduces and engage the viewer
physically and creates a strong interactive dialogue with the environment. His artwork evokes in us
the curiosity to understand more about ourselves and our subjective reality.
The works will not leave us indifferent after experiencing them , They seduce us, lures our
perception to simultanesly ingest a web of multiple time - space dimensions where image, thought,
and the unknown are woven into each other.
HC Berg has long made use of light as a kind of prime mover in his art. It has been his
methodological way to contemplate on existential questions and to brake the mold of precon- cieved
barriers of the mental image of ourselves that surronds us.
In his latest Art Work series he has been playing with multiple layered narration to achieve a
continuos channel of communication with the viewer where he pose questions about physical form and
the play of light and colour in real and reflected spaces, highlighting observation and perception
with an aim not to deceive but to reveal.
The latest work is dealing with the concerns of the collective space in relation to our subjecti-
ve self and how the work can trigger us to deeper introspection of our collective environment.
