LIVES AND WORKS
DATE OF BIRTH
Laura Beltrán Zossi was born in Fusagasugá, in the center of Colombia in 1996. He grew up far from the city, surrounded by free spaces and nature accompanied by the Italian culture he inherited from his maternal grandfather. The spaces allowed him to find his body immersed in changes and dialogues that inspire and guide what his plastic work is today. Laura has always been fascinated by the shapes, colors, aromas and differences that inhabit the spaces and environments of her daily life. The observation present in his adolescence was cultivated and developed much more when he decided to study Plastic Arts.
Upon completing her career, Laura focused even more on her practice as an artist with themes where she explores the body as a constantly changing territory, which connects the world and allows it to inhabit it from its limitations and its illusion of strength.
He is interested in creating images in which the body is blurred, freezing time to observe nature through the reflection of the fragility of the human being.
He thinks that knowledge is acquired from experiences, which is why he teaches children between the ages of 6 and 12 painting and contemporary art, helping them to strengthen the dynamics that art has and leading others to their passion for plastic arts.
In addition, project management is one of his interests, which is why he enters into an internship since 2017 at Guerrero Espacio Galería where he manages the projects presented in the showroom.
He lives and works in Bogotá Colombia, surrounded by art, artists and fascinating spaces.
