Born on the 9th of October 2000 in Le Mans (France), Yaëlle has been interested in art from a very young age, especially drawing, pottery and painting.
During her studies of space design and scenography, Yaëlle quickly realized her attraction for the material which, according to her, «gives life to a work of art».
Yaelle went to live in London after her studies and it was during her first experience abroad that she developed her creativity and was initiated into the London artistic world.
Technology and the intangible form today’s society. Children grow up with screens and the sensations of life around us are left behind. The current health conditions reinforce the idea that nothing around us should be touched. This is why, in the age of Crypto art, Yaëlle Beatrix wishes to offer more than ever colours and textures. Art in museums is untouchable, but Yaëlle sees things differently. Texture and touch are as important to her work as vision. Wood, vegetation, clay, the softness of a fabric, etc., are simple materials that Yaëlle makes us rediscover through the imagination of each finger.
Yaëlle Béatrix is an artist in constant search of new textures and ideas.
«My studies have allowed me to discover many techniques and to experiment, but I am aware that I know nothing about them. I am an artist, a tinkerer and a researcher in equal measure, but I will never have a feeling of accomplishment. I dream of the day when the eye will be unable to understand what the hand has perfectly deciphered.»
