Limoni blu is first a game of strong contrasts: linguistic in the name, chromatic in the images, technical in the creations that mixes watercolor, pencil and china. It is a way of seeing the world a little dreamlike, getting lost between nature and literature.
Limoni blu’s privileged subjects are the marine one, the metamorphosis between human bodies and plants, and the one – the most recent – of the circuses and the hustlers. In her work the colorful expression of emotions dominates, to the detriment of the line (practically non-existent) to favor the free and irregular expansion of the pigment veils.
One of her publications, the book A scuola dentro, has on the cover an illustration of her, expertly described in this review: http://www.rivistadiwali.it/sbarre-e-griglie/?fbclid=IwAR08WW2cPD6Hg6Yf3n91aupVagY0UR06yT1bp8nKahcH52CyBAMf8H_3KDQ, as well the miscellany of studies in honor of Corrado Bologna (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrado_Bologna)
Between 9 May and 26 July 2021 he held his first solo exhibition dedicated to Dante's centenary (Dante in blu, Villa Bertelli, Forte dei Marmi). An illustration of that cycle (Il risveglio, watercolor on paper) has been published in the volume A riveder la china, Venezia, Ca' Foscari, 2021.
