Roma Bankowski is a contemporary abstract painter whose work pulses with emotional intensity, chromatic daring, and richly layered textures. Born in Poland in 1983 and now based in the United Kingdom, Roma’s artistic journey began early—she honed her foundational skills at the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Włocławek, where her passion for expressive mark-making and colour theory first took root. She later refined her vision at a prestigious Academy of Fine Arts in Ludz, emerging with a distinctive voice that bridges intuition and technique.

Working primarily with acrylics, oil, and mixed media, Roma crafts immersive compositions that explore the intangible realms of memory, emotion, and the human condition. Her canvases are not merely seen—they are felt: swirling gestures, fractured layers, and unexpected bursts of pigment invite viewers into a deeply personal yet universally resonant space of introspection.
