Vahagn Bagoyan is an Armenian contemporary painter whose work explores the city as a spatial and architectural system. Trained as an architect, he approaches painting as a field of structural forces where linear networks, layered horizons, and shifting color fields interact. His compositions often unfold as urban cartographies, reflecting the expansion, transformation, and inner energy of contemporary cities. In his ongoing series Linear Cities, Bagoyan constructs complex visual landscapes where precise architectural lines meet expressive painterly gestures, translating architectural thinking into the language of painting and revealing the dynamic structure of the modern metropolis.
