Oluwakemi Onyekachi Awoyemi. Born 30th, August 1995, Camden, London, is currently based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Having a deep connection to spirituality and her Nigerian roots, this young Artist has managed to self acquire multidisciplinary skills in the arts. Kemi who surprisingly holds a degree in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos, due to the unpredictable Nigerian educational system and the parental fear of later becoming a “starved artist”.
Kemi began experimenting mixed medium forms at 15, and proceeded to transform her love for mixed medium to the language of beauty, where she focuses on creating captivating and compelling editorials which have been featured widely.
In 2015, Kemi began to explore the beauty scene under the pseudo name “j0rdanna”.
She describes her work as “expressionist transcendent art” which comes in form of extreme beauty as well as drawings, mixed media, and other visual art forms.
Kemi, an Art and Beauty Director, and Artist at large, currently works at major fashion shows within the country.
Over a period of 5 years, she has Creative and Beauty directed quite an amount of works which show her progress as an Artist.
Her most recent project, “Òrìsà” focuses on an expressionist version of Yoruba deity’s which she transformed from drawings to beauty editorials. This series serves as a form of acceptance of her late grandfather’s religious beliefs.
