Born in Sanremo (Italy) in 1971, Adriano Attus is the creative director of Il Sole 24 Ore (Italy’s leading financial newspaper).
He holds a scientific high school diploma and he later followed the courses of Milan’s Società Umanitaria. He has been working as a designer for more than 20 years for several magazines printed by the some of the major Italian publishing houses.
Versatile and keen on multimedia, Adriano created and curated illustrations featured on the covers of How To Spend It, Domenica, Moda24, Plus24, Panorama, Il Mondo, La Vita Nòva.
He also worked as a contributor for Axa, Bloomberg, Bombay Sapphire, Bmw, Enel, Eni and he’s currently Digital News Design consultant at IULM in Milan, image consultant at Archdiocese of Milan and infographics teacher at MiMaster in Milan.
His first steps in the field of art date back to 2013, after a long research work revolving around the relationship between numbers, figures, news and the way they are represented.
Adriano Attus’ first solo exhibition, “Numerage, la verità nascosta”, (“Numerage, The Hidden Truth”) curated by Mathia Pagani, took place at the L’Affiche Gallery in Milan on May 29, 2015.
From November 2015 to February 2016 he exhibited the project “Numerage #wearenotnumbers” at Mudec Art Wall in The Museum of Cultures of Milan
Recent and noteworthy are the exhibitions at Wopart in Lugano, Switzerland (2017), at Wild Mazzini Data Art Gallery in Turin and at Cartasia, Biennale di Lucca (2018).
