Biography
Vagan Arutyunov is a writer, composer, and painter. He is the author of several novels, numerous short stories, novellas, and fairy tales. In his literary work, he often uses different pseudonyms, the main one being Georges Alexander Vagan. His creative activity combines literature, music, painting, and visual arts, reflecting his constant search for beauty, meaning, and spiritual depth.
As a composer, Vagan Arutyunov creates works in classical, symphonic, and contemporary styles. Over the years, his musical creativity has received recognition, and he is a laureate of several composers’ competitions. His compositions are inspired by classical traditions while exploring modern forms of expression.Vagan Arutyunov was born on December 21, 1973, in Tbilisi. From an early age, he showed a strong interest in knowledge, creativity, and artistic expression. He graduated from a school specializing in mathematics and physics, where he developed analytical thinking and a scientific approach. Later, he studied aircraft construction at a technical institute, gaining technical and engineering knowledge.
He continued his education at the Plekhanov Academy, Faculty of Finance and Accounting, and later studied at the Financial Academy, specializing in Banking. While still a student, he began his entrepreneurial career, which became an important stage of his professional life.
In 1996, he moved to Italy and spent three years living in Milan. There he discovered the world of jewelry art, studying jewelry design and becoming involved in the creation of luxury jewelry. He specialized in diamond cutting, diamond processing, and the production of jewelry pieces. This period had a significant influence on his artistic development, combining craftsmanship, precision, and aesthetic vision. In 1999, he moved to France and settled in Paris, where he continued his entrepreneurial activities until 2006. After completing this chapter of his life, he devoted several years to working in a rehabilitation center for people facing addictions and psychological difficulties. This experience gave him a deeper understanding of human nature, suffering, hope, and transformation — themes that later became important elements of his literary work.
In 2009, he entered the Paris Seminary, where he studied for one year. Afterwards, he frequently traveled to Greece in search of spiritual sources, philosophy, and inspiration. These journeys marked an important turning point in his life. During this period, he began writing his first short stories, which gradually developed into a serious and permanent literary vocation.
In 2018, he completed his first major novel, The Field of Martan. Since then, he has continued his literary work and has become the author of five novels, as well as many short stories and other literary works.
