I was born in 1958 in Stockholm, Sweden. I studied Marketing, and Design at the Berghs School of Communication for three years, and one year at Beckmans School of Design, in Stockholm. I then took a master course in Graphic Design at Konstfack School, in Stockholm, and a master in Industrial Design, at the Domus Academy in Milan, Italy, where I also worked for a year at the Aldo Cibic´s studio.
Since the beginning of the ´80s I have followed courses in different subjects, such as Stained Glass Technique, Textile Printing, Graphic Art, Communication Business Development, Brand Strategy, and Digital Innovation, receiving University Diploma certificates.
I have studied and applied my skills in my work as a Strategist and Designer, and as a part-time High School teacher in Psychology, Aesthetic, and Communication.
In my profession I have always used digital softwares such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, but more in a structured way, and since five years ago, I became interested in using them more as artistic tools, expressing my own visions, instead of just the needs of my clients.
Having been painting with oil, ink, and water colours since I was a child, I decided to combine the traditional way with the digital one.
I have always had a great interest in art and its history, both contemporary and classic. I deeply admire the old masters - their technical, narrative and aesthetic skills.
However, I am also fascinated by the modern culture, like mass media, fashion, advertisement, and social media. Therefore, in my work I use images free from copyrights, fusing their aesthetically characteristics, their history, and their meanings, in order to create new ones, mixing beauty and horror, light and dark, structure and chaos, finding a balance through their juxtapositions.
I usually start from a thought or an emotion or an image I find online, but I never know where it is going to end. I always find out the meaning of the picture during the process, or when it is finished. I would like one day, to transform my work into the new medias that this new digital era offers. For instance, printing my images in 3D, on glass, on plastic, on textile, or even transforming them into sculptures, and moving pictures.
