Pasquale Armenante was born in Cava De’ Tirreni (SA), Italy, in 1995.
He started researching his pictorial sign from an early age, immersing himself in artistic surroundings and developing a career in music as well.
He took part in several exhibitions in Rome, Naples, Florence, Bergamo and in international prize contests
His first solo exhibition took place in 2016. That is when he showcased what is his first series from which he will then escape from, trying to free himself from minimization and embracing the chaos instead.
He decided to leave his university studies in the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples on hold, focusing on his work as video director. The uneasiness of his personal life resulted in what is his main series: In The Room.
He graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, a place that became a stimulating environment for his growth and development.
After the outbreak of Covid-19 Pasquale worked on human memory by mixing his and others’ memoirs. The result was a workart displayed in the exhibition Punti di Avvistamento in FRAC Museum.
He developed a strong relationship with his native land, participating in various exhibitions.
He is currently enrolled in the program of Multimedia Arts in the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome.
He chose a number as his stage name: “16116”, what better way to reflect the predominance that possession holds on human essence?
