BIOGRAPHY
Federico Aprile lives and works in Reggio Emilia.
In 2009 he graduated in advertising graphics and photography at the A.Venturi Art Institute of Modena. In 2015 he obtains a master's degree in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. During 2017 she works as an assistant professor of painting in the two-year specialist course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. Tuttóra carries out teaching and atelier activities in secondary school.
In 2015, he participated in "Segni per una natura viva," an exhibition curated by Beatrice Buscaroli at the Forni Gallery in Bologna; in the same year he was selected by Andrea Aquilanti and Vincenzo Trione as a rappresentant of the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna for the drawing section in the exhibition "Codice Italia Academy" at Palazzo Grimani, on the occasion of the 56th Venice Biennale.
In 2016 he moved to London, where he worked for a year at the studios of AreByte, a creative laboratory where he shared his artistic practice with authors from all over the world. Also in 2016, he participated in international contemporary art events, such as the Arte Laguna Prize for the painting section at the Nappe dell'Arsenale in Venice, and later in the exhibition "GAM" curated by Vincenzo Denti and Gianfranco Ferlisi at the Casa del Mantegna, Mantova.
His last solo exhibition entitled "AVANTINDIETRO" took place in June 2023 in Villa Verde, a private specialist nursing home in Reggio Emilia, curated by Gommapane Lab.
