Nadal Antelmo (b. 1968, Cárdenas, Cuba) is a Cuban-American visual creator whose work explores the intersection between image, language, and constructed realities. Working primarily with photography, he develops concept-driven series that investigate systems of perception, social structures, and symbolic transformations through hybrid visual strategies.
Since the 1990s, Antelmo has exhibited extensively in Cuba and internationally, including France, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, and the United States. His work has been presented in major events such as the Havana Biennial and the International Photography Festival of Arles.
He has received multiple awards in national and international exhibitions, including top prizes in digital art and photography salons in Cuba. His work is part of institutional and private collections across Europe, Latin America, and the United States, including the National Council of Visual Arts of Cuba, the Fototeca de Cuba, and international private collections.
Antelmo’s practice is defined by a continuous exploration of visual language, where photography becomes a tool for constructing conceptual narratives that challenge the boundaries between the organic, the artificial, and the symbolic.
