PROFILE
Born in 1968, of French and Danish nationality,I settled in Provence in 2002 after a few chapters of life in North Africa, Denmark, Central Asia and Paris.
I have worked for a long time at UNESCO on the themes, in particular, of culture of peace and non-violence and preservation of the natural and cultural heritage, so many sources of inspiration in my creations over time.
The visual arts - sculpture and drawing in particular - have always been part of my life. I took open workshops at the Beaux Arts in Aix-en-Provence for several years, carried out internships and followed training courses on the stages ranging from modeling to art foundry. I furthermore refined my techniques alongside several artists who opened their studios to me. And the self-learning process is of course continuous...
Mainly self-taught, the steps that allowed me to refine and consolidate my technical approach are as follows:
• Training in art foundry (bronze) in 2016;
• Aix-en-Provence School of Art from 2011 to 2014: open workshops on the themes of volume, painting and plastic arts;
• Regular work alongside artists from 2002 to 2008;
• Courses in clay modeling, stone carving and painting from 1990 to 2008;
Clay, wax, alloys giving life to bronze and pigments are my favorite materials.I work alongside two Art founders who are very valuable professional partners.It is important to me to be as active as possible at all stages of the realization of my works. All the more that it is a great experience technical as human.
I exhibit in France and abroad since 1991, in collaboration with permanent galleries or as an organizer of my own ephemeral exhibitions in public and private spaces as well in the framework of international fairs.
MY SOURCES OF INSPIRATION
My current inspiration explores in a suggested and stripped way the attitudes and human interactions.
Love, special connections, the challenge of the coexistence of our cultural diversities, respect for others, protection and fulfillment of childhood, the appreciation of what life offers us and of each passing moment...
... are all values that guide me and are expressed in my plastic creations.
Interaction - in the personal and professional context - is at the heart: my sculptures decline the dynamics and the attitudes which can result from exchange, sharing, group effect and synergy.
And if I had to underline the essential, I would say that creation is a formidable path towards oneself and towards the other...
MY CREATIVE JOURNEY
• Cultivate spontaneous expression.
• Experiment with the infinite combinations offered by clay, alloys and pigments.
• Play with the rhythm of clean lines and the vibration of surface textures.
• Give way to the flow of energy and curves.
• And be carried away by the unconscious and the imaginary...
ART CRITIC
"Liselotte Andersen, sculptor and artist painter, is a visual artist whose universe is eclectic. Before settling in Provence in 2002, insatiable traveller, she was nourished by different existential experiences that led her to live in very different continents as Africa, Europe and Asia.
The artist, always sensitive to experimentation and interactions with others, translates her experience and her ideal in her art. (...)
Her creations, free from all form of hesitation in the movement, draw a dynamism that saturates the environment that contains them.
She draws an appropriation of space by a centrifugal force that starts from the heart and the will and that radiates outward, into the unknown and to its irresistible appeal.
The material that the artist is modeling by using her spleen and her ideal is always the vanishing point of which the space is created.
It is the « full » born from the imagination and derived from an unconscious movement : it re - invents the vacuum in curves of emotional vibrations, where the object of art is real and makes sense. (...) »
