Born in Lisboa, I moved to Baku at the age of thirteen. Being exposed to new cultures, belief systems and environments at such young age with my family’s new migrant lifestyle, shaped my view of life and the human condition. Having lived in Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Luanda, Hamburg, Berlin and Barcelona, only enhanced the thirst for new perspectives and addiction for movement. The struggle to find a medium to channel ideas and creative work, led to an exploration process which took me through photography, painting, social work and NGO project management. Finding Filmmaking during a short documentary course with Raindance, fired a spark. Attending Kaskeline Berlin Film Academy, ETIC film course, and Post-graduate in Design Thinking at BAU in Barcelona, I have worked in production for short films, indies, advertising, events and film festivals.
Exploring the human condition and identity in my work, I fell in love with documentaries, installation pieces, visual arts as a format for expression and storytelling.
