Asya Alpay is a young artist from Istanbul, Turkey. Her work has previously been featured in a variety of galleries and art fairs in Istanbul, Bodrum, İzmir, London, Toronto, New York, Paris, Barcelona, and Madrid. In October, her select works will be displayed at the Saatchi Gallery London and the Affordable Art Fair Battersea 25th year edition. In the meantime, she is preparing for her first solo exhibition in Istanbul 2025. Graduated from the Bogazici University Western Languages and Literatures department, she sees her art as a reflection of bipolar disorder, which she was diagnosed with in 2016. She paints abstracts where she plays with colors and materials, including recycled goods, as opposed to conventional drawing. She is a firm believer of uncertainty and personal experience in art.
