My name is Dona Alexandra I am based in Sydney, Australia. My passion is portraiture but I have launched a new artistic designer swimwear label called "Shhh..." I wanted to find a way to introduce art to a global audience by applying artwork to apparel specifically swimwear. The brand has been created by using strategic positioning of artwork so that aesthetically and proportionally pleasing to the eye. I wanted to introduce a new concept in applying artwork to swimwear so that the focus is on the artwork not the wearer. Many women are very conscious about their body image so I wanted to create this brand so that women aren't so concerned about their body image.  My message through my work is not only as an artist, but as a women. That the most important thing that we need to focus on, is being the best version of ourselves. I hope to empower other women through my work and to encourage them to aim always to be the best version they can be.
