My name is AKAKI, and I come from Montenegro. I am a graduate of an art university, where I honed my skills in fine arts.
Born in a
country that ceased to exist in 1991, and being a citizen of another country
teetering on the brink of collapse, my creativity straddles the boundary of
various expressions. Over time and with changing perceptions, it acquires a
unique relevance. The whole world is rapidly advancing, and humanity can barely
keep pace with the rhythm of modern technological changes. However, technology
doesn't always contribute to the enhancement of the spiritual aspect of human
beings. Materialism has run its course, yet the spiritual development of
humanity has not received the attention it deserves.
Through my works of art, I aim to evoke genuine emotions and inner
experiences in viewers. My images, forms, and color palettes are directed
towards the inner world of each observer, their essence, flaws, virtues,
ideals, and contradictions. As an artist, my goal is to pose the central
question to every spectator: who, ultimately, is a human being, and what is
their true purpose?
