Agnieszka Helena Jankiewicz, I was born on April 17, 1983 in Świnoujście. I currently live and work in Szczecin. I passed my matura exam in 2002, and two years later began my M.A. studies in graphic design at the Higher School of Applied Arts in Szczecin (currently a part of The Art Academy of Szczecin). I graduated in 2009 after a successful defense of my master’s dissertation, created using the linocut technique at the workshop of prof. Andrzej Załęcki. In 2010 I started to work as an instructor at prof. Andrzej Załecki's relief press workshop at the Szczecin Art Academy's Grahpic Arts Department. In 2013 I was promoted to Assistant and I have been working on this position to this day. The next chapter of my career were doctoral studies, which I began in 2015 at the University of Fine Arts in Poznań. I received my degree in 2018.My works where shown at numerous collective and individual expositions presented at various locations, including Regional Museum in Szczecinek (2011), Galeria Kapitańska in Szczecin (2013), Rektorska Gallery in Szczecin (2013), Galeria Miejsce Sztuki 44 in Świnoujście (2014, 2015), and International Printmaking Biennial Of Douro Global Of Douro Global Print in Portugal (2013). I also took part in many domestic and international competitions, such as The International Graphic Triennial in Bitola (2012), 33rd Mini Print International of Cadaqués in Spain (2013), International Biennial of Minature Art in Częstochowa (2014), or International Triennial Graphic Triennial in Katowice (2015). In 2015, I received the Grand Prix Quadriennial of Polish Woodcut and Linocut for my "Powracalność formy" series. I was one of the artists that took part in the post-competition exhibition of The International Print Triennial 2018 in Cracow where I received the First Award for Young Artist as part of the Osten Biennial Of Drawing Skopje 2018 Awards and Special prize of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń 47 Pomeranian graphics of the year.Linocut is the technique I use most frequently in my art. I am inspired by the surrounding world, but my main focus is the shape of mankind in the 21st century. The influence of phenomena and events of the modern world on an individual person is often shown in my works.
