Alua Abdramanova is a young self-taught Prague-based artist who is originally from Kazakhstan. Alua was born in 1994 in Taraz (Kazakhstan). Currently she
lives in Prague, Czech Republic.
Alua studied Architectural Design in Kazakh Leading Architecture and Civil Engineering Academy (KazGASA) from 2012 till 2016 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
During her study she won a scholarship for Erasmus+ Exchange program and became a short-term student at Vilnius Technology and Design College (VTDK) in Vilnius, Lithuania.
In 2017-2018 Alua studied at Scholastika Art School in Prague. She took a course from one of the best Czech illustrators Vladimir Strejcek.
Since February, 2018 Alua has become a member of Urban Sketchers Prague and participated in different workshops hold by that organization.

Alua discovered her passion for visual art at early ages. Since then she’s tried herself in different fields of art like photography, painting, digital painting,
illustration, graphic design, comics, ceramics and even music.
Alua’s most favorite media are watercolors, acrylics on paper, pencils, markers, ink, charcoal. She prefers using of bright and vibrant colors in her artworks.
Sketching is Alua’s daily routine. She seeks much inspiration in travelling and nature. She does a plenty of sketches, photos and videos during her travels so
later on, she could turn them into artworks (like a video mapping, photo collages or postcards for her friends).
Alua uses Wacom Intuos Pro tablet and Ipad Pro for her digital paintings and photo manipulations.
The main motto of Alua’s art is a ceaseless, daring (fearless) and boundless creation. She feels herself opened to new experiences and always keeps learning new styles and media.
