Mai J Abbassi is an electrical engineer with a cum laude distinction from SUNY at Newpaltz, USA. After completing her B.Sc. degree she enrolled in a graduate level program in Industrial Engineering, at the University of Jordan – U.S. Aid program in Amman, Jordan. She achieved a postgraduate diploma in Engineering Management / Industrial Engineering.
However, her true passion lay in the artistic expression made possible through painting; the sincerity to put that passion into physical work took priority later in her life. Her major experience in the work field was in the software/system quality assurance engineer as an officer and a team lead test engineer in both Germany and Jordan. A self taught artist, she is at one of her happiest moments while working on a piece of art. She feels fortunate for the ability to manifest an emotion, experience, opinion, and beauty in an artistic expression. She also believes that a piece of art is an accomplishment when it resonates with the person on the receiving end.
Mai resides in Germany with her family and has two children.
