Read MoreAntanas Zabielavičius (b. 1974) - one of the most active representatives of the „second generation“ of contemporary art in Lithuania, which appeared during the final decade of the 20th century. He became known as an artist and independent curator which artistic orientation shifted toward conceptualist traditions, using all possible art techniques, but strictly revolving around the concept. Antanas Zabielavicius seeks to answer the questions related to art itself and its nature through interdisciplinary art experiments. Where does the creativity begin and where does it end, what is behind what we see or what is a pause - it is just a part of the themes to which the author touches unexpected insights and consonants. The artist provides a wide field of interpretations for the audience and thus reveals another dimension of artworks perception. Antanas Zabielavicius organized and participated in various art projects in Lithuania, USA , China, Germany, Austria, Belarus. Starting in 1995 artist curated several informal projects, founded and directed alternative art space "Maironis-3” in an abandoned printing factory where he organized young artists exhibitions from Lithuania and other countries. 1999 became member of Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists' Association, started arranging creativity and innovation development projects, established Global Innovation Studio. 2010 founded an informal academy "Azacademia“. Besides art experiments, from 2016 works as film artist and theatre stage designer also.
