Born in 1953 in St. Petersburg. Presently he is a citizen of the town of
Khimki, Moscow Region. In 1983 he graduated from the Department of
Monumental-Decorative Art of the Moscow Higher Art-Industrial College (after
Stroganov), where his teachers were G.M. Korzhev, V.K. Zamkov and A.A. Komarov.
Since 1989 he is a member
of the Artists' Union of Russia.
He works in the field of monumental art in various techniques (mosaic,
painting, marquetry, stained glass windows, metal, sgraffito).
The works by the artist decorate the interiors and
exteriors of buildings of various purposes in the towns of Novorossiysk,
Moscow, Kaluga, Bratsk, Irkutsk, Blagoveshchensk and Tashkent. He also made
mosaics for Spasskiye and Nikolskiye Gates in the Kremlin..
In painting he works in the genres of landscape, composition, portrait,
still life. He is a participant in All-Union, zonal, regional, district, republican,
town, personal and international exhibitions. He is a Member of the
International Art Fund (1989) and the Association of Russian Artists in Paris (1995).
He is also the Chairman of the Monumental Art Section of the Moscow Region
Public Organization of the Artists' Union of Russia.
He is a lecturer in the
Moscow Higher Art-Industrial College (after Stroganov).
The works by the artist are kept in the museums and art galleries both
in Russia and abroad including in the Museum of Art of the People of the World
(Moscow), in the art museums in Langepas (Tyumen Region), Yalta, Tula, in the
Museum of Academy of Arts of South Korea (Seoul), as well as in the private
collections in Australia, Canada, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Italy, the
Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, South Korea, Spain, the USA.
