Umur Berker Unnu has developed diverse expertise throughout his career in emerging technologies, innovation, and communication. His work in social communities, gamification, fintech, payment systems, and user experience design has contributed to sectoral transformations. By integrating his human-centered approach into both strategic projects and brand management processes, he has acquired a broad and in-depth professional foundation.
Also a serial entrepreneur, Unnu founded Eyesbaby in 2006 — Turkey’s first and the world’s second vertical social community platform. In 2009, he launched the world’s first virtual fashion show and developed an interactive, shareable video player technology to support it. Using this technology, he collaborated with many prominent Turkish fashion designers and brands to present their collections virtually. In 2011, he established Modazon, Turkey’s first fashion-focused social media agency.
Today, Unnu aims to channel his accumulated knowledge and experience through the medium of contemporary art, exploring themes such as quantum theory, metaphysics, interdimensional relations, existence, and the tension between the abstract and the concrete. He describes this journey as a personal “entry” into artistic expression, with the goal of developing a multidisciplinary language that allows for meaning-making across multiple dimensions.
Seeking both theoretical and aesthetic responses to questions about what is accepted as “truth,” Unnu positions art as a communicative interface — one that invites viewers into new conceptual territories and builds bridges between imagination, perception, and experience.
