Lin Tu is a Chinese visual artist based in Munich, whose work explores femininity, emotion, and the poetic nature of inner life. With a background in architecture and a deep appreciation for classical Chinese aesthetics, Lin combines expressive brushwork, symbolism, and delicate palettes to tell stories of women, memory, and transformation.
Her art is often deeply personal — drawing from her own experience as a woman, a cultural wanderer living abroad. Her debut exhibition, We Women, held in Germany, featured three bodies of work: Three Daughters of China, a tribute to the women in her family; Spring River and Moonlit Night, inspired by ancient Chinese poetry; and Self-Portrait, reflecting her emotional journey as an immigrant artist.
TU LIN’s practice is rooted in emotional authenticity. Her recent series, including the Moodscape and Ode to Breasts, explore themes of mental states, vulnerability, and the beauty of the female form through natural metaphors such as rivers, peaks, and moonlight.
Blending Eastern subtlety with Western expressionism, TU LIN's works are both intimate and universal — invitations to pause, feel, and reflect.
She shares her ongoing work through her Instagram @002art_lin and official website tu-lin.com.
