Karen Browning is a UK glass artist. She was awarded Best in Show at the 2022 British Glass Biennale, she has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally, inc. British Glass Biennale, Collect, Liuli Museums Taipei and Shanghai and has been selected for the Aesthetica Art Prize, and has work in many collections including V&A, London and Liuli Museum, Shanghai.
In 2021 she was awarded Arts Council England DYCP funding to develop her work with neon, which has resulted in the Neon Landscapes body of work
Browning creates dialogue and altered perceptions by playing with the key elements of glass, light and space. Her work is bold, dramatic yet intensely researched.
After gaining a degree in Architecture and M.A in both Glass and Site-Specific Sculpture, she set up her own studio in Dorset. She has been a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors since 2014.
