Growing up at the foot of the Bohemian Central Mountains has deeply influenced her artistic work. The characteristic landscape, intertwined with memories, appears as a key motif in her works. In the last phases of her work, Linda focuses on Czech traditions and capturing the essence of seasonal rituals and physicality. Nostalgia, the intermingling of life and death and a mixture of feelings that are difficult to put into words emerge from her canvases. The works straddle surrealism and teeter on the edge of kitsch and decadence. Linda studied graphic art at SUPŠ and art history at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University. She currently lives and works in Prague, the Czech Central Highlands and the Slavkov Forest.
In order to more quickly capture the essence of her ideas, I am dividing her work into three thematic units (series), which, however, are organically complementary and interpenetrating rather than drawing a sharp line between them.
