From Silk to Paper
An evolution in material, memory, and light
In winter 2018, the golden hush of a Venetian sunset stirred a new approach — light captured not just by lens, but by texture. I printed that sunset series on silk, letting the images breathe and shimmer as the fabric moved. Silk became a vessel for ephemerality.
Now, in 2025, I return to that work — not to repeat it, but to answer it. From silk to paper is a dialogue across years and materials. It’s a transition from the fluid to the fixed, from the sensuous to the structured. Paper offers a new kind of intimacy — porous, receptive, grounded.
This new series doesn’t reject the past. It ties a knot with it — binding light to fiber, memory to material, gesture to grain.
