I am a visual artist with a
passion for the reflection of light and colour in hand-blown glass. I live and work near Freiburg Breisgau), in the border triangle of
Germany, France and Switzerland with exhibitions in Basel (CH), Mannheim (D), Taketa (Japan) and
Marckolsheim (FR).
In 2020 I completed a BA in sculpture at the Edith Maryon School of Art in Freiburg (D). During my art
studies I developed a fascination for the expressive possibilities of real
antique glass. My diploma thesis was sponsored by the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung,
a Munich-based foundation for the promotion of contemporary sculpture using the
medium of glass. In the summer of 2022, I took part in a further training
course at the Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood (USA), this time as a
scholarship holder of the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung. In 2023, I completed
further training in glass engraving and glass printing at Bildwerk Frauenau
(Germany).
In my work I explore the
influence of social and cultural environment on personality and identity. I am
fascinated by how people are shaped by ethnicity and socialisation. Furthermore I am interested in on how
different languages express a universe of values and views.
