background: Photography at the Faculty of Television Film and Photography at the
School of Art and Design in Łódź, History at the Faculty of Humanities at the Catholic University of
Lublin, Film and Television Editing at the Academy of Film and Television in
Warsaw. In 2009, he was awarded a PhD in film art in
the field of photography at the Department of Cinematography and Television
Production at the Leon Shiller National Film School in Łódź. In 2020, he was
awarded the habilitated doctor degree in the field of art at the Faculty of
Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and in 2021 he received the
title of professor awarded at the University. Between 2010 - 2015 he oversaw
the Photography Studio at the Polish Japanese Academy of Information Technology
in Warsaw. He shows his interest not only in the photography, but he also deals
with graphic design. His work as a designer can be found in many publishing
houses, albums, catalogues, posters, logos, visual identifications, e.g.,
visual identification of the second metro line in Warsaw. Mariusz has over 30
individual and about 100 collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad, as well
as over 20 awards and distinctions for publishing projects in his credit, among
other important achievements are awards in the “Most Beautiful Book of the
Year” competition, “Honorary Award of Polish Bibliophiles” award in the Obsesja
Papieru competition: three times “Mastership on a Large Scale”, twice: “Master
Project” and “Master Creation”. He his
founder of “Pracownia Sztuki” foundation which supports work and various
activities of artists, he is a member of ZPAF. Also, he is a member of the
board of the ZAiKS art section and runs the Analogowa Art Gallery. Many of his
works are found in galleries and private collections in Poland and abroad,
e.g., in the collection of „Polish Collectible Photography”. His work has been
presented in many publications, including one by the British Royal Photographic
Society.
