My name is Aldo Boscolo, a Murano-based glass artist and founder of the atelier Glassthink, located
on Fondamenta Daniele Manin.
I have been working full-time with soft glass (COE 104) for over ten years, focusing on
flame-working techniques rooted in the Murano tradition, reinterpreted through a conceptual and
contemporary lens. My artistic approach involves no use of modern tools, relying exclusively on
natural forces to shape the glass, making each piece a unique expression of balance between
matter, chemistry, and intention.
I was initially trained by master Lucio Bubacco, and further guided occasionally by Davide Salvadore
and Dino Rosin. Over the years, I have presented my work at several prestigious venues, including:
- The Venice Glass Week - Hub 35, with Autumn of the Beetles
- The Venice Jewellery Designer Week, with the unique piece Carsismo Vitreo
- The Biennial of Glass in Denizli, Turkey, where I was invited as guest of honour representing
Murano
- A live demonstration at Galleria d'Arte Schiavone during one of the Glassweek Conferences in
Murano
My sculptural goblets are sought after by galleries and collectors around the world, including
high-end design showrooms in Singapore. Among my clients are international names such as
actress Patricia Arquette.
I would be honoured to present my vision of contemporary Murano flame-working,
celebrating both heritage and innovation.
