Marco Zecchinato, an eclectic artist, enriches his career with a wide range of artistic expressions, spanning from plastic arts to pictorial disciplines, and also involves participatory public projects for the creation of large-scale works. He graduated in Decoration from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2015 and continued his studies in Public Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon, graduating in 2018. Currently, he is enrolled in a PhD in Fine Arts with a focus on sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon. His artistic journey began with graffiti but evolved into sculpture, driven by a fascination with the dynamism of forms and the primal nature of materials. The tension in his sculptures reflects a connection to nature, exploring the border between sky and earth, air and fire.
During his time at the Academy of Venice, Zecchinato delved into large-scale and three-dimensional sculpture, emphasizing the relationship between objects and space. In 2013, he volunteered in Venezuela, contributing to educational projects for children. Subsequently, in Mérida, he participated in "Street Art Para Los Niños," creating murals depicting Venezuelan stories and legends in collaboration with various foundations. In 2015, he conducted a research project in Costa Rica, living with the BriBri indigenous people and immersing himself in their customs. This experience deepened his passion for organic forms, leading him away from graffiti towards sculpture and environmental installations.
Since 2021, Marco has ventured into the world of tattooing, integrating his sculptural works into body art. Overall, his artistic journey reflects a dynamic exploration of form and a profound connection to nature and diverse cultures.
