Pedro Sena (b. Mariel, Cuba 1988), holds a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts, The University of Florida, Miami, FL and a Master’s in Fine Arts at Florida International University, Miami, FL. Sena’s exhibitions include venues such as the Bonnier Gallery, Miami FL, the Laundromat Art Space, Miami FL, Miami Beach Visual Arts Gallery and The Gallery at the Green Library, Florida International University, Miami, FL. In 2016, Sena received the 1st prize at “Quest for Peace”, Rotary Club of Miami Dadeland Pinecrest, Miami Dade College and recently, he received the Visual Arts Scholarship at Coconut Grove Arts Festival. In 2019, Sena was selected to create an art mural for Katsuya Restaurant at Miami Beach and in 2025, he created art murals for the Hotel Continental, Miami Beach. Central to Sena’s practice is the exploration of the transcultural processes that take place in immigrant cities like Miami, as a symbolic mechanism for understanding the more intimate, personal process of cultural transformation he goes through. Pedro Sena resides and works in South Florida, he is a visual arts teacher and enjoys preparing high school seniors for art colleges around the United States.
