Cristina Scantamburlo (Mirano, 1962) lives and works in Treviso.
A trained graphic designer, she studied at ISIA in Urbino and attended for many years the Lorenzo Lotto Figurative Arts workshop in Mirano. She has participated in various workshops promoted by the Stepan Zavrel Foundation in Sarmede.
In 2017, she took part in the group exhibition I colori dell’aria in Mirano, and in 2018, one of her illustrations was published in issue no. 50 of the magazine Illustrati, Il posto delle balene.
Alongside her professional work, she has always nurtured a passion for drawing and painting, exploring a wide range of illustrative and pictorial techniques. In recent years, she has focused on a personal exploration of paper as a medium: from corrugated packaging cardboard to transparent papers, which she paints, tears, and reassembles to create inner landscapes and intimate visions.
