Soraya Poulin, born October 17, 1996, spent her childhood in Ardon in Valais. After completing her college in Visual Arts and Philosophy options, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Illustration at the Canvas School in Lausanne. During her years of study, she participated in various exhibitions, in Lausanne, Bussigny, and Bulle.
Alongside her schooling, she has also worked for clients in the field of graphic design, photo retouching, editorial design, and children's illustration.
Initially drawn to painting alpine landscapes and animals, her first artistic residency allowed her to explore other mediums including photography and collage, and to discover a more spontaneous and expressionist style.
Through her work, she seeks to express different philosophical and spiritual concepts in order to awaken the viewer's own interpretation, reflection and even questioning vis-à-vis these themes.
