Graduated from the Geneva High School of Art and Design (HEAD) in 2017, Pauline Cordier has been developing her research for several years around the notion of site specificity. She considers sculpture and installation as mediums that express their own contextual reality. In her practice, she challenges the notions of perception and temporality, questioning the interdependence between a form and its environment by placing material at the core of this relationship.
In 2024, Pauline Cordier had three solo exhibitions: at Standard/Deluxe in Lausanne, Galerie Andata Ritorno in Geneva, and Espace Contact in Neuchâtel. She has also presented solo shows in 2023 at Kunstkasten in Winterthur, in 2020 at Galerie A.ROMY in Geneva, and in 2019 at Salle Crosnier, Palais de l’Athénée in Geneva. The artist was awarded a public art commission and is now part of the Fonds d’Art Visuel de la Ville de Lancy collection. She regularly participates in group exhibitions, including in 2024 at Éphémère et Durable in Geneva, in 2023 at Espace 3353 in Geneva, in 2022 at Art au Centre in Geneva and Art Genève fair, in 2021 at Walgreens Windows Project Space in Miami, Centre d’Art Contemporain Circuit in Lausanne, Espace d’Art Contemporain (les Halles) in Porrentruy, and at REA Art Fair in Milan. She also exhibited in 2019 at the 64th Salon de Montrouge in Paris and Jungkunst in Winterthur, and in 2018 at Inchon Art Platform in South Korea.
