Mewadee Methaweewong is a Thai interior designer and artist whose sculptural practice explores the intersection of architecture, memory, and material. Influenced by modernist buildings from the 1950s to 1980s, her work reflects a fascination with restrained geometries and spatial rhythms that evoke a quiet sense of order. Her time studying in Italy deepened this connection, particularly through encounters with Carlo Scarpa’s Brion Cemetery and Aldo Loris Rossi’s La Casa del Portuale—structures that shaped her sensitivity to form, stillness, and atmosphere. Working primarily with wood, stone, and metal, she transforms architectural remnants into contemplative wall compositions. Mewadee holds a degree in Interior Architecture from KMITL and furthered her education at the Istituto Superiore di Design in Naples. Her recent work was exhibited at the Hotel Art Fair in Bangkok.
