Laurence Prorok is a French born Artist of Italian mother and Polish father, based in the South of France. Over the past 20 years, she has called various cultural hubs home, including Naples, Athens, San Francisco and Paris, where she both lived and exhibited her art.
She holds a Master of Architecture from The School of Architecture Paris La Villette and a BFA from the Academy of Art University San Francisco, CA. In addition to her own practice, Prorok has been an accomplished freelance architect and urban designer.
Laurence’s artistic work, rooted in drawing, deals with the act of image reconstructing through varied and meticulous means : freehand pen drawing, printed assemblage, collage. Laurence draws her inspiration from the natural world patterns pulling imagery from personal photos, botanical forms and city structures.
She has shown her work at a number of Art Fairs and galleries in France and abroad. Group exhibitions include The Lyon Art Paper, The Salon d’Automne Paris, FR, Art Capital Paris, FR, The National Art Center of Tokyo. She is selected for the London Biennale in July 2025.
