My name is Roberto De Pol, and I am 48 years old. For over twenty-five years, I have worked in the world of art and entertainment, covering a variety of roles that span from visual artist to research and production for internationally renowned artists, up to stage technician for theater. My passion for the arts has been the driving force of my career, pushing me to explore every aspect of the creative process, from the development of ideas to their realization.
I have had the opportunity to be selected for several artist residencies, including the atelier of the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice, the Kottinspektion Gallery project in Sweden, and the Advanced Course in Visual Arts at the Ratti Foundation in Como, all experiences that have enriched my artistic vision. Alongside my commitments in theater and in artists' studios, I have continued to create works and set designs, participating in solo exhibitions such as "From What Is Left to Nowhereinparticular" at the Kottinspektion Gallery in Sweden, the Bartnik Project Room gallery in Germany, and the Perugi Gallery in Padua. I have also contributed to group exhibitions in significant contexts, such as "Supermarket" in Stockholm, curated by AKA, "Officina Italia 2 - New Italian Creativity" curated by Renato Barilli, "Future Landscape: A Changing Exhibition" curated by Riccardo Caldura, and "To Be Here and There" curated by Dolomiticontemporanee.
This duality between visual art and performing arts practices is significant and is reflected in my works. Each new experience, whether in residency or exhibition, contributes to an ongoing dialogue between my artistic practices and an attempt to better understand the world around me.
