Andrea De Luigi (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a visual artist whose multidisciplinary practice explores transformation, the ephemeral human presence, and the intersection between body and nature. She holds an MFA in Painting from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), completed an artist residency at the School of Visual Arts in New York, and has a background in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires.
Her work combines painting, assemblage, sculpture, and installation, interweaving printmaking and collage into intricate multi-layered compositions on canvas, paper, and wood. Her visual language plays with the tension between figuration and abstraction, often depicting dissolving bodies, metamorphosis, and symbolic rebirth.
De Luigi has exhibited in numerous national and international exhibitions and fairs. She is the recipient of multiple awards, including SCAD’s Academic Honors and Merit Scholarships (2019–2022), the Gelman Trust Endowed Scholarship (2020, 2021, 2023), and the Josh Yu Painting Endowed Scholarship (2022).
She contributes to the Latin American magazine Arte al Límite and serves as a staff writer for Expertos en Arte Magazine. Currently, she lives and works in Buenos Aires, where she directs her own art school and continues her artistic production.
