Chen Ye (b. 1999, Sichuan, China) lives and works in Milan. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Art Therapy at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, where she previously completed a postgraduate program in Painting.
Her artistic practice centers on painting and material-based experimentation, focusing on bodily perception, the formation of experience, and structures of perception. Through image-making, material processes, and modes of production, she investigates how bodily experience is transformed, delayed, or re-perceived within contemporary visual culture.
Her work situates itself at the intersection of painting, bodily research, and perceptual philosophy, examining how experience is seen, named, and consumed in today’s visual environment.
