Belgian artist Christel Blockeel has spent over thirty years painting alongside her career as an international HR executive. With a background in organizational psychology, she channels the energy, tension, and experiences of her professional life into abstract, action-driven painting. Working under the name Chris, she explores a unique juxtaposition: the dynamics of leadership and human interactions translated into vibrant, expressive compositions.

Her work, characterized by action painting, combines color, movement, and rhythm to evoke emotion and vitality. Notable projects include the exhibition ‘Vital Sparks’ in Ostend (2024). Christel’s practice is a dialogue between intuition and intention, reflection and spontaneity, creating works that resonate with energy, human connection, and bold creativity.
