Ingyu Bae’s artistic practice begins with the investigation of material properties—not as tools of expression, but as systems to be understood. 

Trained in a ceramic education rooted in material science, Bae developed his perspective in an environment where more than 10,000 glaze samples were tested over a decade. This methodical context led him to ask: What is the natural logic embedded in physical materials?
