This image has been generated with a machine learning and artificial intelligence technique called style transfer that involves recomposing the content of one image with the style of another. The artist has trained a model on the style of her paintings and has then applied it to a photograph she has taken of waves and the sea. The resulting image retains the content but it is reproduced in the style of her metallic navy and gold paintings of mussel shells.
