“The Remnant” – is the 8th character of my “Transhuman Series.” The diptych plays with positive and negative photography, featuring two contrasting perspectives that unveil the consequences of past actions and the strength of survivors.
One side portrays the “negative,” illustrating the damages caused by human actions like environmental destruction and violence. It highlights the impact of our past mistakes on the world and its inhabitants.
The flip side holds the “positive,” a tribute to the survivors of these challenges. A portrait of a native human symbolizes resilience and endurance, immortalized in a transhuman form. It’s a testament to those who’ve faced and conquered adversity caused by humanity’s actions.
This diptych intends to provoke contemplation on our actions’ repercussions on the environment and others. The interplay of positive and negative elements encourages reflection on responsibility and empathy towards our world and its survivors.
“The Remnant” sparks understanding of human impact on our planet and its life. With the contrast of positive and negative photography, the artowork delves into our relationship with the environment and honor survivors’ strength. It’s a call to embrace responsibility, empathy, and compassion for our collective future.
