Bitan is one of the famous tourist attractions in Taipei, Taiwan. It is named after its tender light of the waves and the dark green water. At the early stage, it was a pier to bid farewell to the reluctant travelers, and the misty rain even enhanced the sadness to say goodbye to each other. Recently, I just said goodbye to a friend who live abroad. Although we promised we will see each other soon, we didn’t know when. I was so depressed that I had to transfer my emotion into the scenery and took the pen to draw this work. I couldn’t help but thinking of the poem of the great ancient literature master, Ouyang Xiu. “It’s natural that we have infatuations in lives, and they have nothing to do with the wind and the moon.”
