S-I / SZ, for Singularity-Infinitisation / Sub Zero, is a black and white painting that illustrates creation from rupture. It shows a circle of white lines on a black background, like a black hole that escapes and attracts at the same time. It creates a tension between space and time, the visible and the invisible, the finite and the infinite.
Henao is inspired by the chapter Year Zero of A Thousand Plateaus, where Deleuze and Guattari analyze the features of the face as a machine of power and meaning. He deconstructs the line, deterritorializes it, makes it smooth and nomadic. He places it in a moving and undefined space, in a discontinuous and variable time, in a machine that occupies and transforms space-time.
S-I / SZ invites us to rethink identity, reality and creation. It invites us to see identity as a multiplicity of becomings and differences, reality as an arrangement of productions and expressions, creation as an "infinitisation" of singularizations and innovations.
