In the COVID-19's age, a symbol of the desire to return to fill the squares, the cities, and the favorite places. It' is part of a series dedicated to Milonga. The image shows a visual narration of a passion; the figures claim life among the ink strokes through their shapes and colors; art in motion is expressed through bodies that speak and colors that move. Created during the lockdown is part of a diptych and represents two lovers' passion who dream of touching and dancing together, wrapped in the intensity of the moment and with the notes of Libertango by Astor Piazzolla; it's my tribute to life.
I don't see only stylized bodies: I see deep eyes between strokes of ink that speak of their feelings. The lines surrounding them are not cages, they are light, and the color spots animate them and make them alive. Even a simple woman profile conveys sweetness and strength at the same time.
"Fear is also part of this artwork. In a suspended, timeless, and remote place of inner solitude, When all around is illness and pain, I don't see the light, I don't see the way out, and I crushed by the weaknesses and the terror of disease, but thanks to music, a hidden spark grows in me from the deep; I protect it; it's an unexpected compassionate and healing warmth, the incubation of a desire, and the victory against Covid-19."
Orange and light blue: hope and freedom come out of the ink marks like life beyond the limits. The city expands its borders, distances become irrelevant, and lovers can finally embrace each other.
