Inside and outside
The human being can be thought of as a stratification of elements. Externally there is the skin, hair, nails, hair, internally there is a skeleton with muscles, organs, blood, cells, DNA. The human body is therefore essentially made up of an inside and an outside. The same relationship, that is, that of an inside and an outside, also characterizes the digital image. In fact, internally it is made of numbers, letters, special characters, text, in a word "code" externally it is instead made of pixels, pigments, shapes and colors. Over the years I have discovered that it is possible to create what I have called "grafts digital ". Grafting is a technique used by farmers to modify plants: a branch of a plant is taken, a cut is made on the host plant and the branch is inserted into the slot. A new type of plant will be born. Grafting can also be done in digital images. A crack is drawn in the image source code, text is inserted whether it is written in Italian, German, English or other and the image changes. I understood that the image is the skin of the code; the image we see is the external aspect while the code is the internal one or its DNA. The image is an epiphenomenon of writing. this section shows the experiments carried out on the images and their source code.
